Whether you have purchased one of our products/plugins; whether you just want to evaluate them you need a license. And to get that license you need to know your computer’s Host ID.
Host ID is an unique identifier for a particular computer, and is used by Mestrelab to lock licenses to a particular machine
So, how do you get your Host ID?
If you are going to install any of our products on your computer…
- If you are going to install the program on a Windows 2000/XP system, be sure you have administrator privileges, because the installation procedure is going to install several files in your system folders. If you don’t have such privileges, you won’t be able to install or uninstall the program correctly.
- On each host, download the Mnova SETUP. Then, double click on the Mnova SETUP file and follow the instructions as they appear on screen.
- Run the application on each host. The following dialog, notifying you that some licenses (for some plugins) were not found, will appear:

- Check the ‘I´ve read the above information’ boxes, press the ‘Ok’ buttons and continue running the application. You will obtain the Registration Wizard dialog box, shown below. Close this dialog by clicking on ‘Close’ button.

- Go to the Help menu and select ‘License Manager’. This will open up a new window for you containing the Host Id at the top.

- Please copy and paste this information to this simple form (recommended) or email to support@mesterlab.com so that we can generate the license file for you.
