  • Group Manager: This user is able to create projects and groups with experiments and reactions. The group manager can also assign projects to the users.
  • Project Manager: This user can create projects and assign users to the projects. The project manager will not be entitled to create groups.

Q: Can this ELN interact with my raw data?

A: Yes, as long as your raw data is uploaded as Mnova NMR or MS data files.

One unique feature of Mbook is that that you can interact with the raw data you upload. Mbook is a spectral ELN that supports analytical data.

Once you upload your raw data, the spectrum will be automatically processed and analysed (peak picking, integration, multiplet analysis) by using the Mnova automation engine.

Q: What exactly is the messaging service?

A: Mbook supports internal messaging. This allows users to easily and quickly exchange messages, which are automatically attached to the Experiment and Reactions to which they relate.


Q: Do you need a powerful server or IT department to use Mbook?

A: All you need to run Mbook is a subscription and access to a web browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox). Only basic IT capabilities are needed to install, maintain and update the software.

Q: Do I have to use the Cloud data storage or is there an alternative?

A: Mbook is a flexible system and as such an in-house alternative to the Cloud based system is available. It can be installed on your own servers and accessible to your users via their browsers avoiding the need for Cloud storage. Contact us if you are interested in this installation.

Q: Can I import structures from my own drawing package?

A: Yes, you can import your structures from your preferred drawing package as long as they are .mol files. For this go to File/Import file on Mbook’s Molecular Editor:import participant_p

Q: How can I upload my analytical raw data (Mnova files)?

A: You can upload a zip file containing your original NMR or MS data in the Files/Characterization section as shown below. This will automatically process your spectra. If the spectra has already been processed you just need to upload your Mnova data.

Q: Are you planning to increase the size of your compound library?
