Improving and Simplifying Automation Processes : Commonalities, Specifics & Examples
Automation is essential in any modern laboratory, but hardware automation can simply create bottlenecks if good data analysis automation is not there to deal with the data so produced. As a software company, we were asked many times to help people automate analytical tasks where this had become the slow step of a process. In doing this for many diverse processes, we considered carefully the commonalities in these requests, even though they might at first appear very different. In this talk we discuss this general problem and how we solved it, before considering several real world use cases of the solution we created.
