Dr. Marcos Seoaneenrique
Dr Marcos Seoane Chouciño was born in Carballo (Galicia) in 1990. He received his BSc in Physics in 2014 and MSc in Industrial Mathematics in 2016, specializing in numerical simulation and mathematical modelling in the context of continuum mechanics, both at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. After that, he benefited from a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA-ITN) grant to work as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher at Siemens Healthineers (Oxford, United Kingdom) and carry out his PhD studies at Swansea University and Universitat Politécnica de Catalunyat. His PhD research focused on the numerical simulation of magneto-mechanical problems in MRI scanners using finite element analysis (FEM) and reduced order models (ROMs), which included the development of novel mathematical models and scientific software. He has joined Mestrelab in September 2020 to work as a scientific software developer in the context of surface plasmon resonance (SPR).
