María Vanessa Castro López studied Chemistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She achieved a PhD in Chemistry by the University of Greenwich. Soon after she worked as a post-doc in both academia and chemical/pharmaceutical industry in the fields of micro/nanotechnology.
