I was born and raised in Beijing, China. I got a B.Sc. in analytical chemistry from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and I worked at a Textile Research Institute for few years. Then I came to United States to finish a M.Sc. in organic chemistry. Before joining Mestrelab, I have worked for pharmaceutical companies such as Syntex, Roche Palo Alto and Genentech/Roche, as a medicinal chemist and NMR spectroscopist for more than 20 years. In the past 10 years at Genentech, I managed the operation of NMR facility provided high quality NMR supports to research scientists from Discovery Chemistry, Process Chemistry and DMPK Departments. I am experienced in Bruker NMR instrumentation and instrument maintenance, and highly skilled in chemical structure elucidation using combined knowledges of NMR, LCMS and organic chemistry. Most recently, I had a great opportunity collaborating with Mestrelab to develop and apply Mnova Gears software in real research lab at Genentech. As the result of this collaboration, Mnova Gears has become a very powerful and efficient tool that fully automated the NMR and LCMS data processing, structure verification, data reporting and data archiving to both Mnova DB and Genentech database. In my spare time, I like to travel around the world and gardening in my backyard.
