To fulfil this commitment, Mestrelab counts with an exceptional staff holding most of them a higher degree (Master & PhD). We have plenty of chemists in our offices, but also IT engineers, mathematicians, physicists and many more. You can get to know them in Our Team page.
Whilst most of the R&D is carried out in-house, we are privileged to have collaborations with several companies and Universities. Our history started in the Chemistry Department at the University of Santiago de Compostela, USC, while our President, Dr. Carlos Cobas, was doing his thesis under the supervision of Prof. Javier Sardina, also a founding member of Mestrelab. Since then, Mestrelab has kept working with the USC in many R&D projects.
Mestrelab makes significant investments in R&D projects and many of our employees are certified as full-time researchers. We have also received funding from the following institutions:
