Toolbars Customization

Mnova incorportates the capability to allow the user to customize the toolbar just by following the menu: ‘View/Toolbars/Customize Toolbars’ (or by right clicking on the toolbar and selecting ‘Customize Toolbars). This will display the ‘Customize Toolbars’ dialog box:

From here, you will be able to customize the selected ‘Toolbar’ (highlighted in red in the picture above) by just using the arrow icons to add, remove or sort the desired features. Of course it is possible to add Zoom In Icon , removeZoom In Icon   or rename Zoom In Icon any created toolbar just by clicking on the corresponding buttons Let’s see how to add the ‘Report Multiplets’ feature to the ‘NMR Process’ toolbar 1st: Select the ‘NMR Process’ toolbar from the ‘Toolbars list:

2nd: Navigate to the ‘Report Multiplets’ feature in the ‘Actions’ menu (at the left side of the window):

3rd: Click on the ‘Right Arrow’ button Arrow Right to add the ‘Report Multiplets’ feature to the ‘NMR 1D Spectrum’ toolbar:

4rd: Finally, click on OK and you will be able to see the ‘Report Multiplets’ icon in the ‘NMR Process’ toolbar:

Please bear in mind that you will be able to remove the undesired features from the toolbar, just by clicking on the ‘Left Arrow’ button  Arrow Left of the ‘Customize Toolbars’ dialog box. You can also sort the features on the toolbar just by using the up and down arrow buttons. It is possible to save (or export) the customization of the Toolbars just by following the menu: File/Save as/MestReNova Customization (*.mncs):

Then, you will be able to open any Customization file just by following the menu ‘File/Open’ (exactly in the same way as this would be applied to a spectrum). You can also add any created script on the toolbar, but please bear in mind that the script file will need to have the same name that the function which you want to call. For example, if the name of the function is ‘example’, then the name of the script will be ‘example.qs’. Then, you will need to add this line with the corresponding ‘Name in Menu’ at the beginning of the script:

Finally, store the script in the Mnova scripts folder and restart Mnova to be able to see the script in the scroll down menu of the ‘Run Script’ icon and in the list of icons in the customize toolbar dialog box.
